Job description
At Doctrine, we are building the leader in legal AI in Europe.
Our belief? The law should not be slowed down by repetitive tasks. It should be enhanced by specialized AI, designed to understand, analyze, and produce legal reasoning with a high level of rigor.
Our ambition? To enable legal professionals to gain reliability, efficiency, and peace of mind, thanks to a unique, exhaustive, and secure platform.
Today, 27,000 legal professionals, spread across five countries (France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Luxembourg), trust us.
Our development is guided by a clear approach: a global vision, rooted in a deep understanding of local specificities.
Behind this ambition, a team of around 250 people, united around the same goal: to support lawyers and attorneys at every stage of their work, from analysis to drafting.
And we are only at the beginning.
For years, Doctrine has offered a feature for sending court decisions in France to its clients. This is a valuable source of court decisions that allows Doctrine to enrich its database (i.e., its legal graph) with decisions that could not be added by our usual processes.
The goal of this internship is to internationalize this feature so that it can be used in all other countries where Doctrine is active (Italy, Germany).
The main tasks will be:
- The development of a minimal application for the review and validation of court decisions uploaded by our users for our legal experts before their publication.
- The migration of the current legacy French upload process to conform to the common (internationalized) process.
Examples of improvement avenues (not exhaustive)
- Application of OCR techniques on documents to facilitate their validation.
- Detection via LLM of decision attributes (confidentiality level, jurisdiction, legal domain, court, ...) to facilitate their validation.
- Assistance in removing content that is not the decision text (blank pages, lawyer's notification, ...).
The intern will have to participate in the definition of the solution and its implementation. They will join the Italy team and will be led to work with the teams of other countries (mainly the France team) and the legal team. They will also participate in the web chapter (gathering all the full stack developers of the company).
