Human Resources Intern | Amsterdam HBO/WO

What will you do?

As an HR Intern at Flagship Amsterdam, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in recruitment, personnel administration, and HR. You will be involved in various aspects of the HR process, from the initial contact with candidates to the onboarding of new employees. You will conduct telephone intake interviews, support the recruitment process, and help ensure that everything concerning our employees is well-organized.

Additionally, you will be a point of contact for employees and managers, and you will receive all sorts of HR-related questions from which you can learn a lot. You will be involved in contract management, support the hiring and departure of personnel, and perform various administrative tasks. You will work closely with other teams within Flagship Amsterdam, such as Marketing and Operations. This way, you will get to know the different facets of HR within a rapidly growing organization and you will be given the space to work independently.

What will you learn?

• Conducting telephone intake interviews with potential skippers, hosts, and deckhands;

• Supporting the hiring and recruitment process;

• Guiding new employees during their onboarding and assisting with the offboarding of departing employees;

• Assisting in improving HR processes;

• Creating creative posters and social media posts in Canva for LinkedIn and Instagram;

• Answering questions from employees, managers, and applicants;

• Drafting, processing, and managing contracts;

• Creating personnel accounts and updating data.

Practical details

Start date: February 2027;

Duration: minimum of 5 months;

Type of internship: work placement;

Internship allowance: €500 per month;

Availability: 32–40 hours per week;

Location: office in the heart of Amsterdam.

Job requirements

• A higher professional education (HBO) degree in Human Resource Management (HRM) or another relevant field;

• Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;

• Residing in Amsterdam or the surrounding area;

• Sociable, communicative, and enthusiastic about working with people;

• An accurate work ethic, with an eye for detail;

• Independence, initiative, and a hands-on mentality.
