Internship - Finance Operations Intern

By joining Matera's Finance team, you will discover the financial behind-the-scenes of a startup and contribute daily to the smooth running of its operations!

Customer reimbursements, invoicing, cash flow monitoring, or data reliability: you will work on concrete topics, in contact with the team and daily requests.

As a FinOps intern, you will be supported by Valent, Head of Finance, and Ryo, Team Lead Finance, to gradually learn how to manage financial operations. At the heart of your missions: monitoring and resolving finance tickets, from receiving the request to its closure.

Your missions within the Finance team

Trained from your arrival, you will gradually take charge of the following missions:

• Manage finance tickets: process requests received on Slack and Front: customer reimbursements, missing invoices, billing duplicates, or payment plan requests. The collective objective: to leave no ticket open by the end of the week;

• Ensure the reliability of our identify and correct inconsistencies to have reliable and up-to-date financial data;

• Participate in financial operations: contribute to customer invoicing, cash flow monitoring, and supplier payments;

• Contribute to reporting: participate in the preparation of reports and the execution of simple analyses to support activity monitoring;

• Discover other Finance topics: depending on your progress, participate in discussions with the accounting firm and auditors, and contribute to improving our processes using no-code tools or AI.

At the end of your internship, you will know how to manage finance tickets from end to end, you will have acquired the basics of the SaaS business model, and you will have discovered the main financial topics of a startup.

Profile sought

Ideally, you:

• Are a student in finance, management, accounting, or business school and are looking for a 6-month internship;

• Are rigorous and organized: you like to follow your subjects through to the end and not leave a request pending;

• Are curious and do not hesitate to ask questions to understand how a tool or process works;

• Are eager to learn, work in a team, and contribute to improving our ways of doing things;

• Speak fluent French and English.
