INTERNSHIP OBJECTIVES:
Within the awareness-communication team and in close collaboration with the press attaché, you will gain solid experience in media relations, linked to the various operations conducted by Handicap International, particularly in view of the 30th anniversary of the Ottawa Treaty.
To achieve this,
- You will make follow-up calls to journalists regarding the association's news (solidarity products, humanitarian crises, armed conflicts, etc.).
- In support of daily media relations missions, you will create new contacts with journalists, you will write and distribute press pitches, you will manage and follow up on interviews, etc.
- You will carry out the assessment and analysis of press coverage for all Handicap International operations.
Requirements
- Training in communication, political science, international relations
- Excellent command of spelling is essential
- Good knowledge of French media (radio, TV, print)
- Interest in current events and the international solidarity world
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to make phone contact
- Initiative and ability to work independently required
- French / Ability to speak English required
- Basic knowledge of Excel

INTERNSHIP CONDITIONS:
6-month internship starting October 19, 2026
You will receive:
- A monthly allowance of €693 for a full-time internship (35 hours)
- Meal vouchers worth €8.96 each (60% paid by the employer, 40% by you)

You must have a mandatory internship agreement issued by a French educational or training institution.
ACCESSIBILITY OF THE WORKPLACE:
The premises are easily accessible by public transport (bus, metro). A car park and a bicycle rack are also available. Within the building, access ramps and elevators ensure better circulation. All workstations are located in an Open Space, but individual offices are available on each floor for quiet work if needed. The workspace is very bright.
A disability referent is available to answer any questions and assist you with your procedures. Depending on your needs, the position can be adapted.
