Internship – Development of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Projects (M/F/X)

Position based in Avignon (84).

Do you want to discover concretely how battery storage projects are developed and contribute to the energy transition? Within the Novar France team, you will be supported by development teams and technical support. You will participate, at your level, in site identification and the preparation of initial analyses and authorization procedures for storage projects. You will also assist New Project Developers and Project Managers in their solar project development missions.

Your missions

·         Identification of sites for battery storage projects. To achieve this, analysis and monitoring of technical and regulatory developments will be necessary.

·         Analysis and preliminary sizing of the storage project based on collected information (characteristics of the nearby electrical grid; urban planning rules; issues related to land use, access, neighborhood, and environmental zoning).

·         Prepare summary documents (literature research, mapping, and monitoring tables) and learn to highlight key points for further investigation.

·         Support Project Managers in Development and New Project Developers in their missions and familiarize yourself with land security procedures, project development, and permitting under their supervision.

Your profile

·         Master's degree or Generalist/Energy Engineering degree (Bac +5).

·         Strong interest in renewable energies, electrical systems, and the energy transition.

·         Comfortable with research, analysis, and synthesis of information, as well as with writing clear documents.

·         Rigor, autonomy, curiosity, and teamwork spirit.

·         Good command of office tools; knowledge of GIS tools or urban planning and environmental regulations is a plus.

·         Good level of French; knowledge of English is appreciated in our international environment.
