Job description

Position based in Avignon (84).

Do you want to discover concretely how battery storage projects are developed and contribute to the energy transition? Within the Novar France team, you will be supported by development teams and technical support. You will participate, at your level, in the identification of sites and the preparation of initial analyses and authorization procedures for storage projects. You will also support New Project Developers and Project Managers in their solar project development missions.

Your missions

· Identification of sites for battery energy storage projects. To do this, analysis and monitoring of technical and regulatory developments will need to be carried out.

· Analysis and pre-sizing of the storage project based on the information collected (characteristics of the nearby electrical grid; urban planning rules; issues related to land use, access, neighbors, and environmental zoning).

· Prepare summary documents (literature searches, mapping, and monitoring tables) and learn to highlight the main points to be further investigated.

· Support Project Managers in Development and New Project Developers in their missions and become familiar with land acquisition, project development, and permitting procedures under their supervision.

Your profile

· Master's degree or equivalent in General Engineering or Energy.

· A strong interest in renewable energies, electrical systems, and the energy transition.

· Comfortable with researching, analyzing, and synthesizing information, as well as writing clear documents.

· Good command of office tools; knowledge of GIS tools or urban planning and environmental regulations is a plus.

· Good level of French; knowledge of English is appreciated in our international environment.
