At Fleury Michon, data is at the heart of many business challenges. To strengthen our Data team within the IT department, we are looking for an intern Data Engineer/Reporting BI to contribute to the data value chain, from its structuring to its delivery.

The objective? Transforming data into useful and accessible information for the company's teams, thanks to reliable data models and Power BI reports tailored to business needs.

A concrete mission, bridging data engineering and Business Intelligence, with a real impact on the company's various departments!

🔎 Your mission

Supervised by an experienced mentor, you will be involved in the entire data value chain.

Understanding business needs

• Exchange with business teams (sales, finance, production, digital...) to understand their needs.

• Translate these needs into adapted data models.

Structuring and ensuring data reliability

• Develop and optimize SQL queries on our Snowflake datalake: extraction, transformation, and modeling.

• Participate in the reliability and automation of data flows: sourcing, quality controls...

• Document processing and data models.

Transforming data into steering tools

• Design Power BI reports and models, notably with Power Query M and DAX.

• Contribute to the optimization and maintenance of existing reports and flows.

• Participate in the improvement of Data and Power BI governance.

Supporting users

• Assist teams in adopting the created reports.

• Listen to their needs and contribute to evolving the proposed solutions.

💡 An internship to develop a comprehensive view of Data

This internship will allow you to work from raw data to its valorization, in direct contact with business teams.

You will discover different facets of SQL, modeling, Snowflake, Power BI, data quality, visualization, and governance.

You will also have the opportunity to interact with diverse profiles and understand their business challenges.

👤 The profile we are looking for

You are currently pursuing a Master's degree (Bac+5 / Master 2) in computer science, data engineering, or at an engineering school with a specialization in Data / BI.

We are ideally looking for a mixed profile in development / BI, with solid SQL foundations and good knowledge of Power BI.

You have knowledge in:

• SQL – essential;

• data modeling, relational and/or dimensional;

• Power BI, Power Query M, and DAX, or another BI tool (Tableau, Qlik...);

• data visualization.

Knowledge of Snowflake, Python, and/or Git would be a plus, as would initial knowledge of the mass retail sector.
