At Fleury Michon, we are looking for an intern Data Engineer to participate in concrete projects combining Data Engineering, Python development, and generative Artificial Intelligence.

The objective? To build solutions for collecting, transforming, validating, and exploiting data, while experimenting with the possibilities offered by LLMs and new AI tools to automate and accelerate processing.

You will work on concrete issues, with real impact, from the integration of data sources to the production of results directly usable by business teams.

🔎 The internship also includes a strong component of experimentation and innovation: you will be led to test new tools and approaches around generative AI and to evaluate their relevance for our Data uses.

You will work in close collaboration with the Data Manager, who will provide you with business and functional knowledge. For your part, you will be fully involved in the technical design and implementation of solutions.

🛠️ Your missions

You may be involved in:

📊 Data Engineering

• Identify and integrate various data sources: Excel/CSV files, APIs, databases…

• Develop data processing scripts and pipelines in Python.

• Clean, transform, and structure data.

• Design automated and reproducible processing.

• Maintain and improve existing pipelines.

🤖 Data & Artificial Intelligence

• Connect generative AI APIs and services.

• Use LLMs to analyze, enrich, transform, or generate data.

• Design workflows combining data and AI.

• Experiment with new tools and approaches to identify the most relevant uses.

🔐 Reliability & quality

• Produce structured outputs: files, HTML, database data, JSON, reports, APIs…

• Implement controls and validations to ensure the reliability of AI-produced results.

• Document the developed processes and technical choices.

👤 The profile we are looking for

You are currently in your 4th/5th year of higher education, in an engineering school or Master's program, with a specialization in:

• Computer Science

• Data Engineering

• Data Science

• Artificial Intelligence

You ideally have mastered:

Essential:

• 🐍 Python

• 🗄️ SQL

• 🔄 Data Engineering / ETL

• 🔌 REST APIs / JSON

• 🐼 Pandas or equivalent data manipulation tool

• 🌱 Git / GitHub

• 🤖 LLM / Generative AI

Initial exposure to these technologies would be a plus:

• Docker

• Snowflake

• CI/CD

• Claude Code and other AI tools for development

👉 No need to master the entire stack!

We are looking above all for someone curious, autonomous, and passionate about technology, who likes to understand how things work and, above all... who wants to build.

We will particularly appreciate candidates who can present personal, academic, associative, or GitHub projects demonstrating their ability to develop concrete solutions.

🧠 And in terms of soft skills?

Beyond technology, we are looking for a profile that is:

• Curious and passionate about technology.

• Analytical, capable of quickly understanding a problem and proposing a solution.

• Comfortable with exploring new technologies.

• Rigorous in data manipulation and validation.

• Possessing good statistical knowledge.

• Autonomous, while knowing when to ask for help.

• Able to effectively use AI tools as development assistants, while maintaining control and understanding of the produced code.

💡 Professional experience is not essential. Your personal projects, GitHub, academic projects, or associative experiences can equally allow us to discover what you are capable of achieving.
