At Fleury Michon, data is at the heart of many business challenges. To strengthen our Data team within the IT department, we are looking for an BI Analyst intern to contribute to the data value chain, from its structuring to its presentation.

The objective? Transform data into useful and accessible information for the company's teams, thanks to reliable data models and Power BI reports tailored to business needs.

A concrete mission, bridging data engineering and Business Intelligence, with a real impact on the company's various departments!

🔎 Your mission

Supervised by an experienced mentor, you will be involved in the entire data value chain.

Understand business needs

• Interact with business teams (sales, finance, production, digital, etc.) to understand their needs.

• Translate these needs into appropriate data models.

Structure and validate data

• Develop and optimize SQL queries on our Snowflake datalake: extraction, transformation, and modeling.

• Participate in the validation and automation of data flows: sourcing, quality checks, etc.

• Document processes and data models.

Transform data into steering tools

• Design Power BI reports and models, particularly with Power Query M and DAX.

• Contribute to the optimization and maintenance of existing reports and flows.

• Participate in the improvement of Data and Power BI governance.

Support users

• Assist teams in adopting the created reports.

• Be attentive to their needs and contribute to the evolution of the proposed solutions.

💡 An internship to develop a comprehensive view of Data

This internship will allow you to work from raw data to its valuation, in direct contact with business teams.

You will discover different facets of SQL, modeling, Snowflake, Power BI, data quality, visualization, and governance.

You will also interact with stakeholders from various backgrounds and understand their business challenges.

👤 The profile we are looking for

You are currently pursuing a Bac+5 / Master 2 degree in computer science, data engineering, or at a general engineering school with a specialization in Data / BI.

We are ideally looking for a mixed profile of development / BI, with a good foundation in SQL and a good knowledge of Power BI.

You have knowledge of:

• SQL – essential;

• data modeling, relational and/or dimensional;

• Power BI, Power Query M and DAX, or another BI tool (Tableau, Qlik, etc.);

• data visualization.

Knowledge of Snowflake, Python, and/or Git would be a plus, as would initial knowledge of the mass retail sector.
