P1 Travel is the largest sports events ticketing agency in Europe and we officially collaborate with the biggest football clubs, stadiums, and tournaments worldwide. Think of clubs like Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, FC Barcelona, and West Ham United, but also the Olympic Games, Formula 1, and Wimbledon. We bring business and private clients to the event of their dreams. You can be a part of this through an internship with our Finance team. Feeling for sports? What will your internship look like?
In this role, you will collaborate with various departments to identify operational needs, understand how teams work, and translate those insights into practical automation solutions and AI agents.

As an AI & Automation Intern, you will support the development of tools that improve efficiency within the company, from workflows in Power Automate to AI agents built in Microsoft Foundry and script-based solutions. These will help employees to consult information, generate content, process documents, and perform repetitive tasks more efficiently. You will work closely with teams such as Finance, HR, Operations, Partnerships, Marketing, and Ticketing to understand their daily processes and determine where automation can add real value.

An important part of the role is to thoroughly understand how each department operates. This means asking the right questions, being assertive in gathering the information you need, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders throughout each project.

This role is suitable for someone who is curious about business processes, communicates confidently with various stakeholders, and is driven to take ownership from idea to implementation. The position combines technical interest with strong project management skills: you will gather relevant information, structure workflows, build solutions, test the results, improve them based on feedback, and train end-users so that the automations and agents are well adopted once they go live.

Your profile

• You are pursuing a higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree (e.g., Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, AI, or a similar field) and are available for a hands-on internship.

• You have technical affinity and learn new tools quickly. Experience with Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, or scripting (e.g., Python) is a plus, but more important is your motivation to dive into these areas.

• You think in a structured and project-oriented manner: you can break down a problem, map out workflows, and set priorities.

• You communicate clearly and confidently, both in gathering requirements and in onboarding and training users.

• In addition to Dutch, you also master the English language.

• It would be a great bonus if you also have a passion for sports, as we do!

Where will you end up?

We are located in beautiful Leiden and you will join a friendly and ambitious company where no day is the same. We currently consist of a team of 70 colleagues and work with a fun group of interns across different departments each semester. So you will definitely not be the only one starting in February 2027.
