For the Department of Finance, we are looking for a staff officer finance. Then read on! For the Staff Office Finance, we are looking for a driven and learning-oriented colleague. You coordinate projects, shape financial policy, and support and advise the financial manager of the province. You will have the space to further develop your interests and strengths within the staff office. You will join a dynamic team of four advisors where cooperation, support, and work pleasure go hand in hand. From a central position within the provincial government, we not only support the financial manager but also the department heads of the Department of Finance, the provincial services, and the external agencies of the province of Antwerp. As a team, we ensure cohesion, structure, and clarity in financial policy. With clear advice, thoughtful processes, and an open way of working together, we help others. Your tasks are varied and challenging, but we attach great importance to good guidance, knowledge sharing, and training opportunities so that you can take ownership of your role step by step. Your task package includes: You monitor the careful and correct handling of expenses: You check whether legislation and internal agreements are being complied with. You watch over budgetary space and financial correctness. You guide colleagues in efficiently preparing files. You serve as a content advisor and consultant for the financial manager and the entire department: You answer complex questions from services and department heads. You translate financial legislation, policy frameworks, and internal procedures into clear and applicable advice. You provide support with policy proposals and strategic decisions. You coordinate and support projects and improvement trajectories: You guide initiatives around financial processes and internal working. You analyze and optimize processes, with attention to cohesion and efficiency. You bring structure, planning, and overview to ongoing and new projects. You strengthen communication, cooperation, and connection within the department: You prepare notes, presentations, and meeting moments for and present them clearly. You represent the Department of Finance in working groups, meetings, and projects. You actively contribute to a constructive and collegiate atmosphere within the team and the department. Together with your colleagues from the staff office, you will shape the financial policy of the province of Antwerp, with attention to quality, cohesion, strategic impact, and future-orientedness. You hold a minimum master's degree in a relevant field (juridical, economic...). If you don't have a master's degree, we invite you to participate in a digital capacity test at master's level (reasoning test). Succeed in this test, then you can continue to apply. A basic knowledge of general IT applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ...) is required. Do you recognize yourself in the following competencies?
