Staff Software Engineer (w/m/d) GoLang

We are looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our IONOS Cloud Team. In this position, it's about developing and optimizing our cloud solutions to ensure they are robust and scalable and seamlessly integrate into our comprehensive service offering.

Aufgabenbereich

• Conception and development of high-quality, maintenance-friendly, and robust Go applications specifically designed for cloud functions like storage-, compute- and network services.
• You will lead all phases of the software development cycle from concept to deployment with a special focus on cloud-based solutions.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers and cloud architects, to design and implement features that improve the scalability and performance of IONOS Cloud.
• You ensure that services are production-ready and run in a highly available production environment. You apply strict test- and debugging procedures to ensure high-reliability and fault-tolerant software.
• Technical consulting and pioneer role in promoting an environment for continuous improvement and innovation in the development of cloud-oriented projects; mentor for junior engineers and promotion of best practices in software development and specific techniques for cloud-based solutions.
• Evaluation and integration of new technologies and software engineering tools into existing platforms to improve service reliability and deployment speed.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor- or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in programming with a strong background in Java-based backend development and at least 3 years of experience with Go (Golang).
• Fundamental knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) and experience in developing and maintaining cloud services.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker as well as the microservices architecture.
• Experience throughout the software development lifecycle, especially in agile environments.

• Familiarity with cloud security protocols, data encryption, and secure software development.
