Staff Product Manager – Decathlon App [Permanent - CDI] (f/m/d)

Our Decathlon App team is looking for a Staff Product Manager (f/m/d) on a Permanent Contract (CDI) based in Lille or Paris.

YOUR FUTURE CONTRIBUTION

As a Staff Product Manager (f/m/d), you will provide the strategic direction and functional architecture needed to scale our mobile platform across multiple product teams. Operating with high autonomy, you will address complex challenges to shape our long-term app experience and guarantee ecosystem cohesion.

Your mission centers on 4 strategic pillars:

• Strategic Alignment, Stakeholder Management & App Vision
• Own the holistic value (macro view) generated by key mobile initiatives across the business and customer ecosystem, moving beyond individual squad backlogs.
• Deliver high-impact narratives and presentations to executive leadership, business directors, and cross-functional stakeholders to align the organization on major platform shifts and app roadmaps.
• Set strategic direction for key user segments across native mobile touchpoints.
• Track and optimize macro success metrics across the entire journey: Awareness, Traffic, Conversion, Retention, and Repeat Purchase Rate.
• Functional Architecture & End-to-End Orchestration
• Act as the lead Functional Architect, defining how functional scope and boundaries are distributed across app feature squads to eliminate overlap and friction.
• Work in tight Triad Collaboration with Staff/Principal Engineers and Staff UX Designers to align technical architecture, mobile design systems, and product vision.
• Design seamless, connected user journeys linking mobile discovery, in-store interactions (e.g., Scan & Go, store pickup), checkout, and sports services.
• Strategic Sparring & Product De-Risking
• Serve as a trusted strategic advisor and sparring partner for Group Product Managers (GPMs) and PMs to help them navigate complex app dependencies and product traps.
• Formulate and drive product de-risking strategies for high-stakes app initiatives, identifying desirability, viability, and usability risks early in discovery.
• Design and run concrete validation loops (A/B tests, multivariate testing, prototype usability tests) to validate hypotheses before engineering deployment.
• Elevating Product Craft & Mastery
• Upskill the PM community on modern product practices, standardizing discovery frameworks, continuous experimentation, and Opportunity Solution Trees (OST).
• Drive organizational adoption of AI-first possibilities and advanced product methodologies to amplify app experience and squad efficiency.
• Act as a force multiplier: elevate the collective bar of the product management community without operating as a formal people manager.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Mobile Native Expertise: Proven track record (7+ years) in Product Management with deep hands-on experience scaling native mobile applications (iOS & Android) in high-scale digital environments.
• E-Commerce & Retail Complexity: Solid background in e-commerce, digital platforms, or omnichannel retail where digital products connect directly with physical operational touchpoints.
• Transverse Scale: Demonstrated experience driving cross-squad alignment and architectural initiatives across multi-team product organizations.
• Native App Product Strategy: Deep understanding of iOS/Android design paradigms, app store mechanics, mobile analytics, and push engagement strategies.
• Product Discovery & De-Risking: Expertise in quantitative and qualitative discovery methods, CRO, A/B testing frameworks, and Opportunity Solution Trees (OST).
• Functional Architecture & Scoping: Ability to structure complex business problems into clear MVP/V0/V1 scoping playbooks and boundary maps.
• Executive Communication & Storytelling: Ability to translate complex product architectures, UX metrics, and data insights into clear, persuasive executive presentations.
• AI & Modern Product Stack: Curiosity and practical experience integrating AI capabilities into product workflows and user experiences.
