Staff Engineer

Job description

Our client is a fast-growing SaaS company in the commercial real estate space, building tools that help property managers and vendors work more efficiently.

Role & Responsibilities - Staff Engineer

  • Design, build, and maintain backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS.

  • Contribute to system architecture, scalability, and performance improvements.

  • Review technical solutions and help define engineering best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact product features.

  • Use AI-enabled tools to support development tasks.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of backend development experience.

  • Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, REST/GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and scalable system design.

  • Familiarity with modernizing or re-architecting legacy systems.

  • Strong communicator and collaborator, able to connect technical work to business goals.
