Staff Engineer / SAP Solution Architect (M/F)

Role Overview

Within the Engineering team, you will be the guardian of the technological architecture and the evolution path of our SAP ecosystem, with a particular focus on upstream Supply Chain (Industrial Planning, Production, Inventory Management, Order Execution/Order).

Your main mission is to design robust, scalable, and sustainable solutions, while driving technological innovation. You will play a key role in the progressive integration of Artificial Intelligence (generative and predictive AI) at the heart of business processes based on the SAP ERP and its extended ecosystem.

Main Missions

1. Technological Vision & AI Strategy

Inform and define the SAP technological roadmap in alignment with the overall IT and Business strategy.

• Explore, evaluate, and integrate AI use cases (Agentic, Generative AI) within upstream Supply Chain processes

• Promote the adoption of SAP's native AI solutions (Joule, SAP Business AI).

2. Architecture & Solution Design

Design the target architecture of the SAP ecosystem (Core ERP, extensions, integrations) ensuring global coherence, performance, security, and scalability.

• Define hybrid integration patterns between SAP (S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform) and third-party applications or the company's Data/Cloud platforms.

Ensure adherence to Clean Core principles to facilitate upgrades and maintain IT system agility.

3. Technical Expertise & Team Support

• Guide integration teams (functional/technical consultants) during detailed design and implementation phases.

Ensure compliance with architecture standards and security best practices. Resolve complex architecture and performance issues (advanced troubleshooting).

4. Watch & Evangelization

• Maintain constant technological watch on SAP editor's evolutions (S/4HANA innovations, SAP BTP, SAP Business AI).

Lead the internal technical community in the domain, train and upskill teams on new AI features and uses.

Required Experience

• Global Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in the SAP ecosystem, including at least 3 to 5 years in a Solution Architect, Lead Tech, or Staff Engineer role.

• Significant Projects: Successful experience in transformation/migration projects to SAP S/4HANA and in deploying Cloud/Hybrid solutions.

• Business Scope: In-depth experience in upstream Supply Chain processes (planning, production/MRP, inventory management, Order Management).

Expected Skills

Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

• SAP Ecosystem:

• In-depth mastery of SAP S/4HANA (key Supply modules: MM, PP, SD).

• Solid knowledge and practice of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) (Workzone, CTMS, ABAP Env).

Knowledge of process automation and management tools: SAP BPA (Build Process Automation).

• Knowledge of SAP's Public Cloud solutions is a plus (IBP, SAC, ...)

• Artificial Intelligence & Innovation:

  • Knowledge and understanding of SAP's AI solutions (Joule, SAP Business AI).

• Ability to design the integration of AI models (proprietary or editor) with SAP data and processes.

Architecture & Integration: Mastery of integration protocols and patterns (OData, REST/SOAP APIs, Event-Driven Architecture, message brokers). Mastery of the SAP Clean Core concept.

Interpersonal Skills (Soft Skills)

• Strategic Vision & Simplification: Ability to translate complex business challenges into technical architectures and explain technical subjects to functional decision-makers.

• Technical Leadership: Ability to inspire, guide, and develop engineering teams without direct hierarchical reporting.

• Pragmatism & Results Orientation: Ability to balance technical perfection, costs, and rapid business value.

• Fluent English: Essential for interacting in an international environment and with editors/partners.
