Staff Data Engineer

Imagine developing cloud applications and data pipelines entirely on your local machine within a lightweight cloud sandbox, running in Docker! We are looking for a Staff Data Engineer to join our growing team. As a Staff Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand their needs and provide them with the data they need to make informed decisions. You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our data systems. **Responsibilities:** * Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data infrastructure. * Develop and maintain ETL processes. * Ensure data quality and consistency. * Monitor and optimize data system performance. * Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and data scientists. * Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and trends. * Mentor and guide junior engineers. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. * 5+ years of experience in data engineering. * Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). * Strong programming skills in Python or Scala. * Experience with data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). * Experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink). * Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect). * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Bonus Points:** * Experience with Kubernetes. * Experience with Docker. * Experience with Terraform. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines. * Experience with data governance and security. **Benefits:** * Competitive salary and equity. * Health, dental, and vision insurance. * Paid time off. * Professional development budget. * Remote-first culture. * Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology. * Be part of a fast-growing and innovative startup.
