Staff Accountant

We are seeking an experienced accountant with strong client-facing skills to manage onboarding projects, clean up and set up accounting systems, and work with multiple clients across industries.

• Prepare accurate, accrual-basis financial statements.
• Perform detailed reconciliations for bank, credit card, merchant service, and loan accounts.
• Clean up and set up client accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage multiple onboarding projects at once, meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand needs and deliver solutions.
• Use cloud-based accounting platforms and integrated tools to streamline processes (QuickBooks Online, Xero, A2X, Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
• Identify and communicate scope changes early to onboarding managers.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of accounting experience (preferably in a small or mid-sized CPA firm).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP-based accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience working with multiple clients from different industries.
• C1 English fluency or equivalent.
• Experience in a client-facing role and client onboarding processes.
• QuickBooks Online certification is a plus but nor mandatory.
• E-commerce accounting experience.

Benefits

Salary: $3000 - $4000 USD /month
PTO: 120 hours in the first year + 5 sick days; unlimited PTO after year one

This is a full time contractor agreement
