Staff Accountant – Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting

Job Description As a Staff Accountant in Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting at NIQ, you will play a critical role in supporting the company’s external financial reporting and technical accounting functions. You will be instrumental in assisting with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings in accordance with U.S. GAAP and consolidated statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS, assisting with maintaining compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and supporting various technical accounting projects. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely consolidated financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows. * Support the preparation of SEC filings (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), ensuring compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. * Assist in the preparation of consolidated statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS. * Perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. * Research and document accounting treatment for complex transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS. * Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures. * Support internal and external audit activities. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, tax, and legal, to ensure accurate financial reporting. * Participate in special projects, such as system implementations or process improvements. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. * 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or a large multinational company. * Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS. * Experience with SEC reporting is a plus. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. * CPA or working towards CPA certification is a plus.
