City Councilor (m/w/d) for Department IV 'Education, Social Affairs and Integration'

31 city districts, 224 square kilometers of area, spa town and third-largest industrial site in Lower Saxony: The district-free city of Salzgitter with its 107,000 residents is offering a lot and is looking for a City Councilor (m/w/d) (Grade B 5 NKBesVO) for Department IV 'Education, Social Affairs and Integration' at the earliest possible time. In addition to this, a monthly allowance according to § 3 NKBesVO will be granted. After the election of the or the proposed by the Mayor, the City Councilor will be responsible for the department's tasks and duties. The tasks include, but are not limited to: Developing and implementing education policies, coordinating with schools and educational institutions, promoting social cohesion and integration, developing and implementing social programs, and ensuring equal opportunities for all residents. The ideal candidate should have a degree in education or a related field, experience in the field of education or social affairs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The City Councilor will be expected to work 20 hours per week and attend council meetings regularly. The position is available immediately.
