Sr. HR Generalist (US & Workday Experience)
Job description
Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Generalist will support multiple entities across various HR functions. Responsibilities include aiding the HR team in developing and administering programs, procedures, projects, and processes throughout the organization’s divisions, spanning the entire life cycle from recruitment and onboarding to development, retention, and offboarding. Essential functions & responsibilities • Support the development and administration of HR programs, policies, and procedures. • Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures. • Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and extending job offers. • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and new employees are properly integrated into the organization. • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. • Handle employee relations issues, such as performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution. • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances. • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • Assist with performance management processes, including performance reviews and goal setting. • Support the development and implementation of training and development programs. • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in human resources, with a focus on generalist responsibilities. • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations. • Experience with Workday is required. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Preferred Qualifications • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification. • Experience in a multi-state environment. • Experience working in a fast-paced environment. • Experience with HRIS systems other than Workday.
