Sr. Engineer, Data Data Ops (L08) About the Role: The Sr. Engineer, Data is responsible for designing, developing, operating, and supporting scalable data architectures and ingestion pipelines across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments to meet enterprise data and analytics needs. The role partners with data engineers and cross-functional teams to architect, build, deploy, and support data warehouse and business analytics solutions in a highly dynamic 24x7 operational environment. Key responsibilities include: • Designing, developing, operating, and supporting scalable data architectures and ingestion pipelines across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. • Partnering with data engineers and cross-functional teams to architect, build, deploy, and support data warehouse and business analytics solutions in a highly dynamic 24x7 operational environment. • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions that meet enterprise needs. • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, system designs, and implementation plans. • Participating in the development of data governance policies, procedures, and standards. • Providing technical guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders on data-related topics. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering and analytics. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or a related field. • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data governance principles. • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises data storage solutions (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). • Familiarity with data ingestion tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, AWS Glue) and data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Beam, AWS Lambda). • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and business intelligence platforms (e.g., QlikView, SAP BusinessObjects). • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
