Sr. Continuous Improvement Engineer
Job description
The Lean Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence through the implementation of Lean principles, productivity improvements, and waste reduction initiatives across the manufacturing site. This Engineer partners with operations, quality, engineering, human resources, and maintenance teams to implement sustainable improvements that increase throughput, reduce cycle time, increase equipment utilization, optimize labor efficiency, and enhance overall manufacturing performance. The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will analyze and optimize processes, identify and eliminate waste, and implement visual management systems to ensure continuous improvement. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Lean principles and experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing process improvements, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. This role will also involve collaborating with other departments to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, and developing and implementing training programs to ensure sustainable improvements. The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will be expected to maintain accurate records and reports, and to provide regular updates to management on the status of improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, and to be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will be expected to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
