Who are we? The work will be performed within the new Bureau Data Quality. We are part of the Data Section (formerly Analysis Section), falling under the Systems & Analysis Department of the Materiel Logistics Command (MatlogCo) of the Land Forces Command (CLAS). Our department aims to contribute to optimizing the sustainment and achieving the required materiel availability of ground-based systems throughout their entire lifecycle. The Bureau Data Quality specifically focuses on the structural improvement and assurance of data quality within the Materiel Logistic & Financial (M&F) domain of CLAS, with a primary focus on SAP data.

What will you do as Team Leader Data & Quality? In this challenging role with high complexity and a lot of pioneering work, you will function as the functional and tactical leader of the team and will be part of the Section's Management Team. Your responsibilities are diverse and require a pragmatic, results-oriented, and innovative approach:

• Leadership & Coordination: You will contribute to building a professional quartermaster team and functionally and tactically lead the team of data analysts (consisting of four FTEs). You will be responsible for the alignment, coordination, and prioritization of assignments within the applicable frameworks.
• Stakeholder Management & Strategy: You will manage stakeholders and report on trends, risks, and the progress of data quality to decision-makers. Additionally, you will actively contribute to providing direction to the Data Section.
• Data Analysis & Development: In addition to your leadership tasks, you will actively participate in practical work. You will develop complex information products, establish performance indicators, and conduct data quality analyses.
• Innovation & Quality Assurance: You will be one of the ambassadors for technological innovation and will steer the interaction between data accessibility and innovation. You will facilitate the use of SQL, Power BI, Business Intelligence, and Data Science within the team and initiate substantiated proposals for new analysis methods and techniques.

Job Requirements

What do we ask of you?

• Academic work and thinking level, supported by a completed relevant university or HBO (higher professional education) degree (e.g., Business Administration or ICT).
• Extensive, demonstrable experience (more than 5 years) in team leadership, intensive stakeholder management, and coordinating complex data projects.
• Broad knowledge of and demonstrable experience with Power BI, SQL, Business Intelligence (BI), and advanced Data Science techniques.
• Extensive experience with data analyses, logistics ICT, and materiel logistics processes, as well as the skill in developing (data) models and performance indicators.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Materiel Logistics and Finance (SLOG/KLOG) is highly desirable for a quick integration into the domain.
• You possess the following competencies: Analysis, Communication, Customer-oriented, Planning and Organizing, Results-oriented, Collaboration, and Creativity.

Other Employment Conditions

From 2025 onwards, defense employees will no longer receive holiday pay and the year-end bonus as separate payments, but will accrue them monthly through the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). The IKB for defense employees totals 16.33 percent of the salary. With the IKB, defense employees can decide for themselves when, what, and how much budget they spend on time, money, or fiscal facilities. This can be up to the maximum of the monthly accrued budget. The IKB can be used for:

• A maximum of 15 percent of the salary can be used monthly for the exchange of the commuting allowance.
• The monthly difference between the allowance for the costs of private transportation for commuting and the fiscal maximum.
• A bicycle for personal use, including bicycle accessories and bicycle insurance.
• A computer that can also be used for work or study, including computer accessories and computer insurance.
• A battery or electric parts for a bicycle.
• The payment of trade union contributions.
• Defense expects to further expand the possibilities of the IKB in the future.

Special Information

• A security screening (VGB - Verklaring van Geen Bezwaar) is part of the application process.

Additionally, a security screening and reference check may be part of the selection procedure.
