SQL Server Administrator / Data Analyst (m/f/d)

For a family-owned retail company in Hilden, FlexIT Consulting is seeking an experienced SQL Server Administrator (m/f/d). The position includes the administration and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server databases, support for a Dynamics NAV environment, and automation of administrative processes.

The role is aimed at IT professionals with several years of experience in SQL Server administration and solid knowledge of T-SQL and PowerShell.

The company offers a permanent full-time position, flexible working hours within defined time windows, and a company car for private use.

These tasks await you

• You will administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.

• You will support the database infrastructure of a Microsoft Dynamics NAV environment.

• You will analyze SQL queries and optimize their execution speed.

• You will support ensuring data availability and the implementation of backup and security concepts.

• You will automate administrative tasks with T-SQL, PowerShell, and SQL Server Jobs.

• You will analyze technical issues and support 2nd and 3rd level support.

• You will collaborate with internal departments and external IT partners.

• You will support the further development of data models and ETL processes with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

• You will accompany future system upgrades.

• If interested, you will support data analyses and reporting with Microsoft Power BI.

What you bring

These prerequisites are important:

• Completed IT training, computer science degree, or comparable qualification.

• Several years of practical experience in the administration of Microsoft SQL Server.

• Understanding of relational databases and database architectures.

• Solid knowledge of T-SQL and PowerShell.

• Experience in the systematic analysis of technical problems.

• German language skills at a minimum C1 level.

These skills are desirable:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 (Navision).

• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and database reporting.

Experience with Dynamics NAV 2018 and Power BI is explicitly not a mandatory requirement.
