Speech Pathologist

Well established, family-centred child development centre based in Cairns is currently seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join their growing team.

This is an opportunity to become part of a friendly and collaborative group of allied health professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families.

The Team & Workplace:

The centre comprises a multidisciplinary team of over a dozen professionals, including speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and early childhood educators. The facility offers modern treatment rooms and resources, creating a nurturing environment that supports both clients and staff. The team works closely together, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions for children.
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans that support functional communication outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with families, educators, and other therapists to ensure holistic care.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Maintain accurate, professional clinical documentation.

What You’ll Need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Experience in paediatric settings preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while being a proactive team player.

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience working within the NDIS framework.
  • Familiarity with early intervention strategies and child development frameworks.
