Accounting Specialist

Workplace: Bydgoszcz

Your responsibilities

• maintaining records of fixed assets and intangible assets;
• settlement of fixed asset expenditures in construction and development costs;
• accounting for leased fixed assets in accordance with IFRS 16;
• booking documents related to fixed assets and intangible assets management - purchases, asset transfers, disposals, sales, depreciation;
• preparing real estate tax declarations;
• calculating deferred tax;
• organizing and settling fixed asset inventories;
• performing current accounting tasks, including accruals and booking of documents;
• supervising warehouse management;
• preparing reports and declarations for GUS (Central Statistical Office) and NBP (National Bank of Poland);
• active participation in month-end/year-end closing;
• participation in the preparation of annual tax declarations;
• support in preparing the annual financial statement (separate and consolidated).

Our requirements

• relevant education: finance and accounting or related fields;
• several years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing company – a must;
• very good knowledge of the Accounting Act, tax law, knowledge of MSR (International Accounting Standards) will be an additional asset;
• proficient use of MS Office suite, especially Excel;
• ability for analytical thinking and drawing conclusions;
• responsibility, independence, and initiative in taking action;
• very good interpersonal skills, ability to cooperate in a partnership with other company departments;
• diligence and meticulousness;
• knowledge of IFS software will be a great asset;
• communication level proficiency in English will be an additional asset.
