Specialist in the Estimating Department in the Electrical Industry

Location: Bytom

Your Responsibilities

• Preparation of calculations and cost estimates for electrical and telecommunication installations based on project documentation (quantities take-offs, labor, material, and equipment costing)
• Development of offers for general contractors and investors – analysis of tender inquiries, SIWZ/SWZ (Terms of Reference/Scope of Works), and contract conditions
• Investment budgeting: preparation of execution budgets, resource-and-financial schedules, and material lists for ongoing contracts
• Optimization of design solutions – proposing alternative and equivalent solutions, technical-cost analysis, verification of documentation for completeness and feasibility
• Collecting and comparing offers from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating prices of materials and equipment
• Cooperation with site managers in costing additional and alternative works and in contract settlements
• Participation in tender meetings and technical discussions with clients and designers
• Maintaining a price database and a register of submitted offers

Our Requirements

• Relevant education: electrical engineering, power engineering, automation, or related fields (technician or engineer – including graduates)
• Ability to read and analyze project documentation for electrical installations
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic knowledge of costing software (e.g., Norma) and AutoCAD
• Ability for analytical thinking and accuracy in working with numbers
• Independence, timeliness, and good work organization

Nice to have

• Experience in cost estimating, tendering, or on construction sites in the electrical/telecommunication industry
• Knowledge of public procurement issues (PZP) and tender procedures
