Risk Modeling Specialist

Risk Modeling Specialist

Location: Sopot

Your tasks:

• Building methods for risk quantification and assessment,

• Co-creating the risk management system at Hestia,

• Using advanced mathematical models for analysis,

• Developing and validating Hestia's Internal Model (this is the first and only full internal model in Poland accepted by the Supervisor),

• Calculating, monitoring, and planning the solvency ratio (capital requirement for solvency and own funds),

• Creating reports for Hestia's Management Board, the Supervisor (KNF), and the Shareholder (ERGO),

• Proposing solutions to optimize the Company's capital position,

• Developing the early warning and risk identification system that operates at Hestia,

• Collaborating with the international team of our Shareholder.

Our expectations:

• Higher education (preferably in mathematics, IT, analytical, or economics fields),

• Very good knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and tools such as R Project, SQL, or Python,

• Analytical thinking and the ability to translate analysis into assessments and conclusions,

• Accuracy,

• Very good self-organization of work, including under time pressure,

• Knowledge of English at a minimum B2 level,

• Teamwork skills and high communication proficiency,

• Willingness to develop and acquire knowledge,

• Possession of a disability certificate – as we support individuals who face more challenges in the job market.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform,

• Planning or pursuing actuarial exams,

• Experience in risk management.
