Cost Estimator / Valuer Specialist (Bridge Industry)

Your responsibilities

• Cooperation with the tendering team in preparing valuations for tenders in the infrastructure sector
• Verification of work quantities
• Preparation of calculations, cost estimates, and valuations for engineering structures (bridges, culverts, retaining walls, foundations, reinforcements, other engineering structures)
• Forwarding tender inquiries to subcontractors and industry suppliers necessary for valuation preparation
• Verification of received offers from subcontractors or suppliers
• Analyzing tender and design documentation or descriptions defining the type, scope, and method of execution of works resulting from inventory and Employer's requirements
• Checking the correctness of tender cost estimates and their substantive verification
• Analyzing and proposing possible optimization alternative solutions
• Developing tender documents
• Participation in site visits
• Preparing cost estimates for additional and alternative works
• Coordination and supervision of the implementation of optimization assumptions and alternative solutions

Our requirements

• Higher engineering or Master's degree – construction major
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position, in preparing cost estimates based on technical specifications in the bridge and engineering industry,
• Bridge construction license would be an asset
• Knowledge of Autocad (2D), MS Office suite (especially MS Excel), Norma programs
• Knowledge of the construction industry and prices and costs of construction and finishing materials, costs of services in the scope of bridge and engineering construction
• Teamwork skills, good communication
• Ability to organize and plan work effectively (timeliness) and work under time pressure
