We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Purchasing Specialist for a German company with its registered office in Katowice, belonging to a group of manufacturing and service companies operating worldwide in the metallurgical/machine building industry. Our Client has been successfully operating on the Polish market for many years and, along with its development, is expanding its team of employees. It is precisely in connection with the development of a dozen-person Purchasing Department that we would like to hire another person who will be associated with the company for many years. Your scope of duties

• POSITION GOAL: Ensuring the correct execution of company purchases in accordance with the current purchasing procedure.
• TASKS
• coordination, planning, and conducting tender procedures
• negotiating and concluding legally binding agreements and annexes, taking into account legal requirements
• searching for alternative supply markets and developing a network of suppliers
• sending out and preparing requests for quotations;
• preparing, executing, and supervising orders;
• controlling and supervising supplier timeliness and any complaints;
• handling complaints from notification to settlement;
• fulfilling reported requisitions in accordance with procedures;
• preparing and executing processes in accordance with applicable procedures;
• supplier visits;
• preparing statements/analyses/reports
• cooperating with the manager and other employees to improve work quality

Our requirements

• at least secondary education; higher education in commerce or technical field preferred
• minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing department;
• knowledge of contract law
• knowledge of English and German languages at a minimum B2/C1 level;
• knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (SAP is a plus);
• innovative approach to tasks and flexibility;
• knowledge and ability to read technical drawings, preferably in the metallurgical, steel, or machine industry;
• teamwork skills;
• diligence and independence.
