ESG and Environmental Sustainability Specialist
Job description
Ambiente Srl, a company with over forty years of experience in the environmental engineering consultancy sector, is looking for an ESG and Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join its team.
The selected candidate will support companies and organizations in integrating sustainability principles and ESG criteria into their business processes, contributing to the development of strategies aimed at creating value, managing environmental risks and opportunities, and improving sustainability performance.
Main Responsibilities
- Management and development of projects in the field of environmental sustainability and ESG.
- Preparation and coordination of Sustainability Reports and ESG reports according to reference standards and frameworks.
- Support to Clients in defining and implementing ESG strategies and corporate sustainability plans.
- Collection, processing, and analysis of ESG data and KPIs to support reporting activities and performance monitoring.
- Support to companies in identifying sustainability risks, opportunities, and objectives, also in relation to the expectations of investors, financial institutions, clients, and stakeholders.
- Support for ESG assessment processes, sustainability ratings, and information requests from the financial market and supply chains.
- Analysis of corporate and product Carbon Footprint (GHG Protocol – Scope 1, 2, and 3) within the framework of decarbonization pathways and environmental performance improvement.
- Direct interaction with Clients, bodies, and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Sustainability Economics, or related disciplines.
- Previous experience in consulting activities or project management in the field of sustainability, ESG, or environment.
- Experience in preparing Sustainability Reports and managing data collection processes and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of the main ESG topics and related regulatory developments.
- Knowledge of GRI and/or ESRS Standards and the main sustainability reporting frameworks.
- Knowledge of Management Systems
Hard Skills
- Excellent command of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good knowledge of the English language, written and spoken.
- Ability to analyze and process quantitative data and ESG indicators.
- Ability to prepare technical documentation, reports, and strategic documents.

Indicative gross annual salary ranging between € 24,000 and € 35,000, defined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and level of autonomy acquired.
