About the Role As a Specialist Technician, you’ll act as a subject matter expert (SME), supporting the rollingstock technician team with advanced diagnostics, investigations, and maintenance. You’ll also play a vital role in training, competency development, and knowledge sharing within the team. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct advanced diagnostic tests to identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues affecting the performance of our rollingstock fleet. • Collaborate with the rollingstock technician team to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies. • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in rollingstock maintenance and technology. • Contribute to the development of training programs and competency frameworks for the team. Requirements: • 5+ years of experience as a technician or engineer in the rail or related industries. • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
