Specialist Service Support Technician – Guarantees

Description of the position

AVITECH, top integrator in the fields of Safety and Life Security, Building Automation, Electrical Installations, IT Infrastructure & Communications, is expanding its team of service and technical support. We are looking for a Specialist Service Support Technician – Guarantees who will join our team in București Nord Afumați, Ilfov.

The role involves managing warranty and technical support requests for equipment and solutions delivered to clients. You will act as the main point of contact between client, supplier, and internal service teams, ensuring an efficient, documented, and solution-oriented process. Your activity directly contributes to maintaining customer satisfaction and the proper functioning of equipment and systems implemented.

Responsibilities

• Taking over service requests from clients through phone, email, or online platforms;
• Verifying the eligibility of equipment based on warranty conditions applicable;
• Preliminary diagnosis of equipment together with the service engineering team, establishing causes and types of defects;
• Formulating suitable solutions: local repair, replacement, or transmission to supplier/manufacturer;
• Coordinating the warranty process and RMA operations with suppliers: sending requests, tracking approvals, and receiving replaced equipment;
• Permanent communication with clients, account managers, and sales representatives regarding request status and estimated solution times;
• Publishing documentation: inspection reports, service reports, updating internal databases;
• Collaborating with technical departments, project teams, and sales for efficient integration of service activities into operational flow;
• Identifying recurring bottlenecks in the support process and proposing solutions for optimization.

Requirements

• Tech studies completed (electrical, automation, telecommunications, IT or related fields);
• Prior experience in technical activities or service support (advantage: security systems, detection, automation, or IT);
• Knowledge about equipment and systems in areas: Safety, Life Security, Building Automation, Electrical Installations, or IT&C;
• Diagnostic skills and attention to detail;
• Solid knowledge of PC operation: Microsoft Office, CRM, specific application service and technical support;
• Moderate English language proficiency (for interpreting technical documentation and communicating with suppliers);
• Organizational skills, communication, and teamwork abilities;
• Proactive attitude, responsibility, and orientation towards client and results.
