Specialist LIMS - Center of Water Expertise & Innovation (CWI)

For the Center of Water Expertise & Innovation (CWI) in Leeuwarden, we are looking for a Specialist LIMS. In this role, you will be the expert in our Laboratory Information Management System and play an important role in the further digitalization of our laboratory processes. You will work in an innovative environment where quality, reliability, and continuous improvement are paramount. What you will be working on

As a LIMS Specialist, you will be responsible for the management, optimization, and further development of the Laboratory Information Management System. You will ensure that the system optimally meets the users' needs and the quality and innovation ambitions of the CWI. In doing so, you will monitor the continuity, reliability, and future-proofing of the platform.

Important tasks:

• Managing, further developing, and optimizing the LIMS system

• Supporting users and resolving complex functional and technical issues

• Implementing changes, new functionalities, and process improvements

• Monitoring data quality, information security, and reliable data exchange within the chain

You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders inside and outside the laboratory, both with and without technical backgrounds. You will translate needs into concrete solutions and actively contribute to the further professionalization of digital support for our laboratory processes.

What you bring

We see these qualities reflected in your experience with managing and further developing LIMS environments within a laboratory setting.

Furthermore, we count on you:

• Demonstrable experience with the management, configuration, and expansion of LIMS systems.

• Knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, Microsoft .NET, and the development of APIs and web services.

• Experience with Oracle or similar databases and SQL.

• Knowledge of reporting tools such as Crystal Reports and Power BI.

• Experience with data exchange and relevant standards towards external parties.

• Experience within a laboratory environment is a strong pré.

How we take care of you

• A salary up to €6,635 gross per month (scale 11, in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement as of July 1, 2026). In addition, you will receive a Flexible Benefits Budget (FAB) of 16.51% on top of your salary. This budget includes your holiday allowance and year-end bonus, among other things.

• 31.5 vacation days per year.
