Job Description

We are looking for a person with experience in spatial analysis, cartography and remote sensing, who will provide technical support within studies and environmental projects. The selected person will be responsible for acquiring, processing, analyzing and interpreting spatial data, including that obtained using drones and satellite images.

Main Responsibilities:

• Realization of spatial analyses necessary for environmental studies;

• Preparation of thematic maps (habitats, land use, protected areas, environmental restrictions etc.);

• Management, structuring and updating GIS databases;

• Integration and processing of data from various sources (ground data, orthophotoplans, satellite data, shapefiles, public databases);

• Acquisition of geospatial data using drones (flight planning, data collection, organizing data sets);

• Processing, analysis and interpretation of data obtained from drones (orthophotoplans, digital terrain models and surface models);

• Analysis and interpretation of satellite images for evaluating changes in land use, habitats and other environmental components;

• Modeling spatial data (vectorial and raster) for complex analyses, simulations and scenario evaluations affecting the environment.

Requirements:

• Higher education in Geography, Geodesy, Environmental Sciences or related fields;

• Practical experience in using GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS or equivalent);

• Solid knowledge of spatial analysis and cartography;

• Experience working with geospatial databases;

• Ability to interpret spatial data and correlate it with environmental information;

• Organizational skills, attention to detail and respect for deadlines;

• Advanced level of English language (oral and written communication);

• Category B driving license.
