Job description
BIOgenetIX is a distributor of equipment and consumables for molecular biology, diagnostics, and research laboratories in Romania. We work with hospitals, private laboratories, universities, and research institutes.
Location: Bucharest with travel within the country
Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of equipment (thermocyclers, qPCR systems, automated extractors, sequencers, etc.)
- User training at the client's premises and online
- Application support: protocol optimization, result interpretation, troubleshooting
- Collaboration with the sales team in technical presentations, demos, and bid responses
- Communication with international manufacturers and participation in product trainings
- Presentation of the company at conferences, workshops, and specialized events
Mandatory Requirements
- University degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, genetics, medicine, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in a molecular biology laboratory
- Practical experience in molecular biology: nucleic acid extraction, conventional and real-time PCR, amplification curve interpretation
- Practical experience in immunoassay: operation of CLIA or ELISA analyzers, calibrations, internal controls
- Experience with classical serology: rapid tests, agglutination, manual plate techniques
- English language at an intermediate level (written and spoken)
- Category B driver's license and availability for travel within the country
- Good communication skills and the pleasure of explaining technical things
- Rigor, organization, and the ability to work independently
Advantageous Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in the field
- Experience with NGS, digital PCR, or laboratory automation
- Previous experience as an applications specialist, or in technical support
- Basic bioinformatics knowledge or data analysis skills
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 standards
