Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you have experience working with children with ADHD? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Wandsworth. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with ADHD and other additional needs to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including those with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Support students with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments. Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students. Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans. Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem. Support students with social skills development, including communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Assist in the preparation of resources and materials for lessons. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.
