Spa Therapist

Purpose of the Role To deliver a variety of spa and wellness services in a serene, luxurious environment, ensuring guest comfort, safety, and satisfaction. The role includes maintaining spa equipment and product inventory, responding to guest needs with professionalism and warmth, and contributing to the overall guest experience in line with The Cape Cadogan’s standards. Key Focus Areas Uphold the Africology and Cape Cadogan Spa philosophy in all daily operations, as trained. Perform treatments according to spa protocols, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to service standards. Provide personalized consultations to guests, recommending suitable treatments and products. Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic spa environment, including treatment rooms and common areas. Manage and replenish spa supplies and products, ensuring adequate stock levels. Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and feedback efficiently and effectively. Promote spa services and products to guests, maximizing sales opportunities. Assist with spa marketing initiatives and promotions as needed. Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and guidelines. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Key Responsibilities Guest Service: Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their spa experience. Conduct thorough consultations to understand guest needs and preferences. Explain treatments clearly and answer any questions guests may have. Ensure guest comfort and privacy at all times. Adapt treatments to meet individual guest needs and preferences. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. Treatment Delivery: Perform a variety of spa treatments, including massages, facials, body wraps, and other services, as per training. Utilize spa products and equipment correctly and efficiently. Adjust treatments based on guest feedback and comfort levels. Follow all spa protocols and procedures for each treatment. Ensure treatments are performed within the allocated timeframes. Maintain a high standard of hygiene and sanitation in treatment rooms. Operational Excellence: Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and spa areas. Restock treatment rooms with necessary supplies and products. Assist with laundry duties as needed. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions promptly. Adhere to all spa policies and procedures. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spa products and supplies. Assist with ordering and receiving of stock. Ensure proper storage and handling of spa products. Report any discrepancies or shortages to the spa manager. Sales and Promotions: Promote spa services and products to guests. Actively participate in spa marketing initiatives and promotions. Meet or exceed sales targets as assigned. Educate guests on the benefits of spa treatments and products. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately. Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with other spa staff to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues. Attend team meetings and training sessions as required. Follow instructions and directions from the spa manager. Support a positive and productive work environment. Skills and Qualifications Relevant certification in spa therapy or related field. Proven experience in delivering a range of spa treatments. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Knowledge of spa products and services.
