Who we are
MIFA – Migrantenfachstelle GmbH is an intercultural specialist center for social pedagogical family support and culturally sensitive counseling. On behalf of municipalities, schools, and social services, we support families with a migration or refugee background – close to everyday life, resource-oriented, and with a clear focus on the child's welfare.
We work where life happens: in everyday life, during transitions, and in crisis situations. We strengthen families, promote integration, and jointly develop sustainable perspectives.
Your Area of Responsibility
- As a social pedagogical family support worker, you work directly with families in their everyday lives. You are outreach-oriented, think solution-focused, and act in a culturally sensitive manner. You strengthen parents in their parenting skills, recognize risks, activate resources, and accompany change processes with professional clarity and a human approach.
Your Tasks
- Outreach family support on behalf of municipalities and specialist agencies
- Strengthening parental competencies in parenting, everyday life, and integration
- Culturally sensitive goal-oriented work, involving bridge-builders
- Professional assessment in the context of child welfare and child protection
- Collaboration with schools, authorities, and social institutions
- Process documentation, goal review, and professional reflection
What you bring
- Experience in outreach family work, ideally in an intercultural context
- Degree in Social Pedagogy / Social Work FH / HF or CAS Social Pedagogical Family Support
- Systemic-solution-oriented approach and independent working style
- Strong intercultural competence and communication skills
- Ability to professionally assess protection and risk situations
- Good PC skills (Word, Outlook, case documentation)
- Foreign languages desired
- Own vehicle desired
