Social Worker in Training FH 60% - 80% (part-time) The Justice Institution Bostadel is an independent public-law institution in the Concordat of Northwest and Inner Switzerland with its own legal personality. It is operated by the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Zug and has 108 places in normal custody and 12 places in a security department. In the JVA Bostadel, around 90 employees are active, who ensure the safety within the institution as well as the provision of social services to the inmates. The tasks include, among other things, the implementation of social work measures, the support of inmates in their reintegration into society, and the promotion of their personal development. The social worker is also responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with the inmates and ensuring that they are treated fairly and with respect. In addition to these tasks, the social worker will also be involved in the planning and implementation of various events and activities within the institution, such as cultural events, sports events, and educational programs. The social worker will work closely with other employees in the institution, including psychologists, teachers, and healthcare professionals, to provide a comprehensive range of services to the inmates. The social worker will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports on their work and activities, and for participating in regular meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and new developments in the field.
