Sous Chef

Our client is Basingstoke is seeking an experienced Sous Chef with a background in either a care home or high end hospitality setting. You should have strong culinary skills, a passion for producing high-quality food, and excellent communication skills. A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum) is required, along with a flexible and adaptable approach.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Creating High-Quality Meals: Work alongside the Head Chef to plan and prepare diverse, appealing, and nutritionally balanced menus that residents will love. You'll have the chance to be creative while catering to individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Leading a Great Team: Help supervise and mentor the kitchen team, fostering a positive and efficient atmosphere where everyone can thrive.
• Ensuring Excellence: Maintain impeccable standards of food hygiene and safety, and contribute to efficient kitchen operations, including managing stock and reducing waste.
• Contributing to effective stock management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to optimise kitchen costs.
