S&OP Manager

Full Time 100000.00 - 130000.00

Job description

About the Opportunity

Here is a rare opportunity to combine your expertise as both a Leader and end-to-end planning skills with a successful New Zealand-owned food manufacturing company. This is a complex supply chain: short to medium shelf-life product, local and export markets, branded product and contract manufacturing – so this is not your everyday senior planning role. Instead you will be instrumental in taking the business on an S&OP evolution journey.

What will you be doing?

This is a senior hands-on role, thus your function is two-fold: personally undertaking the demand and production planning process while leading the procurement, purchasing and logistics functions.

Reporting directly to the CEO you will be the central coordination point between the commercial and operational teams, balancing sales forecasts with production capacity, inventory, and supply chain constraints to deliver superior customer service, achieve sustainable growth, maintain strong customer partnerships and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise the S&OP process.

Who are we looking for?

You are capable of (and take pleasure in) wearing multiple hats: the doer, the leader, the strategist, the change agent. We seek:
  • Proven experience at a leadership level across all planning horizons: demand planning, supply planning, production planning, inventory and logistics. You have a strong understanding of S&OP processes and what ‘good’ looks like.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build a high-performance team, work environment and culture.
  • Commercial acumen, well developed negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve results.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Competency in the use of ERP systems and experience in their implementation, but however you are not reliant on them. Excel is your friend.
  • Previous planning experience in an FMCG or food manufacturing operation is preferred.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related disciplines.
