Solution-/IT-Architect (m/f/d)

Full Time Entry Level

Job description

We develop systems that our customers' operational business depends on: applications for claims processing, provisioning, sales management, ERP and logistics processes, as well as digital customer and partner portals. If such systems fail, it doesn't just result in a poor user experience. It leads to errors, delays, costs, and in the worst case, real business risks.

Such systems are not created by adding capacity and cleanly managed handovers. They are created by teams who understand the problem as a whole and take responsibility for it. This is exactly what Envidual, a specialized IT consultancy, does.

We take responsibility from the business analysis through UX and architecture to technical implementation and further development. We don't see software development as processing pre-sorted tickets. We delve into processes, question requirements, and make decisions that have long-term impact.

Our teams are deliberately lean and interdisciplinary. Whoever works on a project not only knows their own part but understands the project, the system, the product as a whole.

We also have these expectations for the people who join us: professional curiosity, technical judgment, and the willingness to take responsibility beyond their own role boundaries.

Tasks

  • You design and take responsibility for the solution and system architecture of business-critical applications in complex, often legacy system landscapes.
  • You translate business requirements and non-functional quality goals into viable technical decisions. This includes, among others, security, maintainability, scalability, availability, performance, and integration capability.
  • You analyze existing systems, identify technical risks and debts, and develop realistic target architectures and modernization paths.
  • You don't decide based on technology trends, but on context. You evaluate architecture approaches, cloud components, integration patterns, and platforms based on their actual advantages and disadvantages.
  • You stay close to the implementation. Through prototypes, architecture spikes, reviews, and collaborative work with development teams, you ensure that architecture doesn't just work on diagrams.
  • You document decisions clearly, make target conflicts transparent, and provide orientation for developers, business departments, and technical stakeholders.
  • You further develop our architecture and engineering standards and responsibly introduce new approaches like Agentic Engineering into productive project environments.

Qualification

  • You have several years of experience in professional software development and have already taken architectural responsibility for productive, complex systems.
  • You are still technically hands-on and have profound knowledge of Spring Boot and Angular, as well as modern web architectures.
  • You are familiar with different architectural approaches and integration patterns – from modular monoliths and microservices to event-driven systems and API and platform architectures.
  • You can systematically capture and prioritize business requirements and quality goals such as security, availability, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • You have solid experience with cloud architectures, containers, CI/CD, and the operation of distributed systems. Ideally, you know Azure/GCP/AWS/OpenShift from productive projects.
  • You can evaluate existing systems and codebases, make technical risks transparent, and derive realistic target visions and modernization strategies from them.
  • You have broad knowledge of operationally significant architectural principles such as Zero-Trust, Observability, Resilience, and Fault Tolerance, as well as their influence on security, maintainability, and operational stability.
  • You document architecture decisions precisely and understandably, for example with Architecture Decision Records, C4 models, or comparable formats.
  • You can provide technical leadership to developers, advise stakeholders, and bring different interests together to form a viable decision.
  • You delve deeply into new business domains and are not satisfied with technically elegant solutions that miss the actual business problem.

Benefits

  1. Projects that matter: You work on applications that support our customers' core business processes. Your decisions don't affect an internal demo project, but systems that are used productively every day.
  2. Responsibility with real influence: With us, you don't just get tasks, but scope for design. You can actively influence technical decisions, processes, and ways of working. Titles don't determine whose argument counts.
  3. Learning with substance: You work closely with experienced developers, architects, business analysts, and designers. Instead of a rigid mentor-mentee program, you receive direct feedback and coaching tailored to your role and goals.
  4. Flexibility that works in a team: We don't work with rigid attendance times. You shape your workday flexibly and coordinate with your team and the project in such a way that collaboration and reliability are not compromised.
  5. A work environment that supports professional work: You can expect high-quality hardware, modern workplaces, and a well-equipped office in Munich – including two terraces and a kitchen with drinks and snacks.
  6. Compensation that matches your responsibility: We compensate experience, technical depth, and assumed responsibility appropriately. The statement is more credible than "above-average pay is standard." It would be even stronger with transparent salary bands.
  7. A team without status games: We communicate directly, help each other, and openly address problems. Regular team events are part of it, but they are not a substitute for good day-to-day collaboration.

Additionally, we offer Corporate Benefits, subsidized fitness offers, and other employee advantages.
