Data Solution Architect – Greenfield Projects
Location: Sydney (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite)

Australia’s largest privately-owned general insurer is building a series of greenfield products focused on fraud and compliance, and they’re looking for two Data Solution Architect with Azure experience to join the team.

This role is pivotal in delivering a modern data platform strategy for a leading insurance organisation.

Working with the Enterprise Data Architect, Architecture team, and business stakeholders, you will design new data solutions, modernise existing systems, and lead data initiatives. Your focus will be on data and information architecture, including creating reference architectures, standards, and patterns, while supporting other domains as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into technical blueprints and strategies for data storage, processing, and analysis.
• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for databases, warehouses, and data lakes.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility across solutions.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data solutions from design to deployment and evaluation.
• Guide development teams and ensure technical feasibility of solutions.
• Promote long-term supportability and align solutions with business objectives.

Skills & Experience

• Experienced in data engineering, architecture, and enterprise data platforms.
• Strong experience with Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks), SQL, Python, and modern data processing frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of data warehouses, dimensional modelling, real-time/streaming analytics, and cloud-native data patterns.
• Experience in regulatory/compliance environments, with strong governance, quality, and security expertise.
• Insurance industry experience is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.

• Drive best practices in cloud architecture, security, and integration
• Make real-time decisions that impact product success

This is an initial 12 Month FTC with the view to permanent. Opportunity Pays $190,000 - $210,000 + Super.
