Together with over 260,000 military and civilian employees, we ensure security, sovereignty, and the external policy capabilities of the Federal Republic of Germany as well as support in natural disasters and accidents within the country. We shape digital security in Germany! As a soldier or woman/man in information technology, you contribute to the digital transformation of the German Armed Forces. During your training, you specialize in system administration, network management, and IT security. You will learn about operating systems, databases, and programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++. You will also gain knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Unix-based systems. In addition to theoretical foundations, you will acquire practical skills through hands-on exercises and projects. Your tasks will include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting errors, and implementing security measures. You will work in a team with other IT specialists to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. As part of your training, you will also learn about communication protocols, network architectures, and data transmission methods. You will be familiarized with various software tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace. Your training will also include learning about project management, teamwork, and leadership skills. After completing your training, you can work in a variety of roles within the German Armed Forces, including IT support, system administration, network management, and cybersecurity.
