Do you have at least a VMBO BB diploma? Are you not afraid of a physical challenge and do you want to keep the Dutch airspace safe from the ground together with your colleagues? As an Air Defence Soldier Air Mobile, you have the important task of detecting threats from the air from the ground and protecting people and areas against these attacks.

What you will do

As an Air Defence Soldier Air Mobile in the Army, you will work with the Air Mobile Brigade. The Air Mobile Brigade is a rapidly deployable unit that can be on location anywhere in the world within 20 days to provide assistance or combat a conflict. Helicopters guarantee the Air Mobile Brigade rapid troop deployment and also ensure the transport of weapons, materiel, food, and other supplies.

As an Air Defence Soldier Air Mobile, you will work with advanced systems to keep the airspace safe, where good cooperation is vital. As an Air Defence Artillery Soldier Air Mobile, you will work with the Stinger weapon system. This weapon system is for short distances and can be fired from the shoulder.

Where you will work

You will work at the Air Mobile Brigade in Schaarsbergen.

After joining, you will first follow the General Military Training Air Mobile (AMOL) in Schaarsbergen. In the AMOL, you will be trained to be able to cope as an individual soldier in an operational area and to function within a military organization. If you have successfully completed the AMOL, you will then follow the job-specific training at the Training and Education Centre.

As a Soldier, you will participate in various exercises. In addition, you must take into account that, like every Soldier, you may be deployed abroad.
