Imagine: The armored wheeled vehicle BOXER with driver, gunner, and six armored infantry soldiers, as part of a larger unit, to the place where you are needed. What you will do

The infantry is formed by the soldiers of the Army who conduct ground combat. The infantrymen of 13 Light Brigade are often deployed in complex terrain such as wooded areas, villages, and cities. They are equipped with automatic and semi-automatic firearms, onboard weapon systems, mortars, and anti-tank weapons. When they are not moving on foot, they are transported as part of a group of ten soldiers in a lightly armored vehicle: the Boxer. Usually, you will perform tasks outside the vehicle, regardless of the weather. Think of conducting patrols and securing houses and forests. But also maintenance of equipment, security, and camouflage.

Note: There are different start dates throughout the year. After applying, you will receive a personal application file containing a reporting date. Please note: this is a fictional date and therefore incorrect. The start date for which you are eligible will be determined later. This depends, among other things, on the results of the psychological assessment, the medical examination, and the security screening, which are part of the application process. Once all these components have been successfully completed, your start date will be discussed and confirmed.

Where you will work

You will work at 13 Light Brigade in Oirschot. You will participate in exercises and training in the Netherlands and abroad. These are sometimes in preparation for a mission. Therefore, you must take into account that you may be deployed.

But before you start working, you will first complete a training program, consisting of the Basic Training Royal Netherlands Army (BOKL) in Oirschot, supplemented by the Maneuver Function Training (MFO) in Oirschot. After successfully completing your training, you will immediately begin your career as a Soldier Motorized Infantry at 17 Armored Infantry Battalion Garde Regiment Fuseliers Prinses Irene or at 42 Armored Infantry Battalion Regiment Limburgse Jagers of 13 Light Brigade.
