Solar PV Project Engineer – Italy Location: Italy Employer: Leading IPP (Independent Power Producer). Industry: Renewable Energy – Solar PV The Green Recruitment Company has been partnered with leading IPP in the search of a a Solar PV Project Engineer to support their rapidly expanding portfolio in Italy. With more than 10 GW in Operations in Europe and offices in Latam and USA this is a unique opportunity to join a market leader in clean energy transformation. Role Overview: As a Solar PV Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of solar photovoltaic projects from concept to commissioning. This includes site selection, feasibility studies, permitting, procurement, construction management, testing and commissioning, and operation and maintenance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct site visits to assess the suitability of potential solar PV sites for development. • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource allocation plans, and budget forecasts. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement project management plans. • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices. • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues. • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams. • Provide technical support to the project team as needed. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as necessary. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve project delivery. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent) or related field. • At least 3 years of experience in solar PV project development, preferably with a leading IPP or EPC company. • Strong understanding of solar PV technology, including system design, installation, and operation. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Familiarity with project management tools and software, such as Asana or Trello.
