Senior Software Developer

The Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced software solutions for industrial automation and process control. The role aims to ensure efficiency and reliability of the systems used by clients in the industrial sector. Main Responsibilities - Software Development: Design and implement software control and automation using PLC (Siemens, Rockwell, Codesys) and high-level programming languages (C++, Javascript, .NET). - SCADA Integration: Develop and configure SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) applications for process supervision, monitoring, and data collection. - Analysis and Architecture: Analyze customer requirements and define the most suitable software architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability of solutions. - Testing and Debugging: Conduct rigorous testing and diagnostics to identify and resolve malfunctions or anomalies in developed systems. - Technical Support: Provide technical support and specialized assistance during installation and startup phases (at the office and/or at the client's site). - Documentation: Write detailed technical documentation, operational manuals, and project reports. - Travel: Perform travel in Italy and abroad for installation, testing, and commissioning of systems. Requirements and Competences Education and Experience - Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or equivalent diploma. - Experience: Consolidated experience of at least 5 years as a Software Developer, preferably in industrial automation and process control contexts. Technical Skills (Hard Skills) - PLC: In-depth knowledge and proven experience in programming Siemens, Rockwell, and Codesys PLCs. - SCADA: Competence in developing and configuring SCADA systems. - Programming Languages: Excellent proficiency in at least one of the following high-level languages: C++, Javascript, .NET. - Language: Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken (necessary for interactions with foreign clients). Transversal Skills (Soft Skills) - Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly resolve faults. - Customer Orientation: Attention to customer needs, listening attitude, and mediation skills. - Communication: Good communication and relational skills to work effectively in teams and interface with clients. - Flexibility: Flexibility and availability to work in a team. - Autonomy: Ability to manage one's own activities and respect deadlines. Job Details - Workplace: Operational base in Ravenna and activity at client sites. - Travel: Request for travel, including the possibility of traveling abroad for 2-3 months per year. - Contract: Insertion with an open-ended contract.
