IT Turnaround Manager (all genders): Take the helm when million-euro projects falter!

Responsibilities

As an experienced Project or Program Manager, you will take on a key role in the realignment of demanding IT projects in the software sector – regardless of industry or corporate environment. Especially when extensive undertakings get into critical situations, you create transparency, identify weaknesses, and initiate targeted countermeasures. You are responsible for communication and management of escalations on the customer side and ensure that projects regain a clear direction and a reliable perspective.

With your experience in agile, classical, and hybrid project management methods, you combine structured project management with sound know-how in contract and stakeholder management. You manage complex software development and integration projects with project volumes in the millions of euros and consistently align all activities with adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality requirements.

Your goal is to sustainably stabilize challenging projects, restore customer trust and satisfaction, and create the foundation for long-term, successful business relationships.

Qualifications

• A completed degree in (Business) Computer Science or a comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in managing complex software development projects – including in critical phases

• At least 10 years of experience on the IT service provider side

• Proven leadership competence in teams of 25+ people

• Proficient in agile and classical project methods as well as contract management (fixed-price projects)

• Willingness to travel and excellent communication skills
